Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without falling and avoiding steps. It struggled with fine particles and didn't always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise is also relatively high, so it may be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, is equipped with docking technology that allows it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dust bin, wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with the regular schedule. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent accuracy, and the app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also engineered to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which is a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, which lifts these pads upward when they're near soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them with.

It's unable to pick up knots in the rug, and its battery drains quicker than other models we tried.

It does a great job of vaccuming, but it isn't quite as efficient at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip to the bottom of the bot and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
